How to install google chrome in Ubuntu

If you are first like me then this will help you:)

open your terminal or press ctl+alt+t

then type these

cd /temp
$ wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

If there is no error then you can see download will start….

Now install the downloaded DEB file

$ sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

For my case I found this problem
dpkg: error: dpkg status database is locked by another process

Then I use these commend

sudo rm /var/lib/dpkg/lock

Then run the previous commend

$ sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

And when finish simply run

google-chrome

My machine
64 bit, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
